Commitment
You must fully obey the Lord our God and follow all his laws and commands.
Continue to obey in the future as you do now.

~ 1 Kings 8:61

In all the work you are doing, work the best you can.  Work as if you were doing it for the Lord,
not for people.  Remember that you will receive your reward  from the Lord,
which he promised to his people.  You are serving the Lord.

~ Colossians 3:23-24

You should produce much fruit and show that you are my followers,
which brings glory to my father.

~ John 15:8

We have around us many people whose lives tell us what faith means.  So let us run the race that
is before us and never give up.  We should remove from our lives anything that would get
in the way and the sin that so easily holds us back.

~ Hebrews 12:1

But you are a chosen people, royal priests, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession.
You were chosen to tell about the wonderful acts of God, who called you
out of darkness into his wonderful light.

~ 1 Peter 2:9
Faith
Yes, Lord, walking in the way of your laws, we wait for you; your name and renown are the desire
of our hearts.  My soul yearns for you in the night; in the morning my spirit longs for you.
When your judgments come upon the earth, the people of the world learn righteousness.

~ Isaiah 26:8-9

My brothers and sisters, if people say they have faith, but do nothing, their faith is worth nothing.  Can faith
like that save them?  A brother or sister in Christ might need clothes or food.  If you say to that person,
"God be with you! I hope you stay warm and get plenty to eat," but you do not give what that person needs,
your words are worth nothing.  In the same way, faith that is alone - that does nothing - is dead.

~ James 3:14-17

You have not seen Christ, but you still love him.  You cannot see him now, but you believe in him.
So you are filled with a joy that cannot be explained, a joy full of glory.

~ 1 Peter 1:8
Forgiveness
The Lord shows mercy and is kind.  He does not become angry quickly, and He has great love.  He will not accuse us, and he will not be angry forever.  He has not punished us as our sins should be punished; he has not repaid us for the evil we have done.  As high as the sky is above the earth, so great is his love for those who respect him.  He has taken our sins away from us as far as the east is from west.  The Lord has mercy on those who respect him, as a father has mercy on his children.  He knows how we were made; he remembers that we are dust.

~ Psalms 103:8-14

So I tell you to believe that you have received the things you ask for in prayer,
and God will give them to you.  When you are praying, if you are angry with someone,
forgive him so that your Father in heaven will also forgive your sins.

~ Mark 11:24-25

At one time you were seperated from God.  You were his enemies in your minds, and the evil things you did
were against God.  But now God has made you his friends again.  He did this through Christ's death in the
body so that he might bring you into God's presence as people who are holy, with no wrong,
and with nothing of which God can judge you guilty.

~ Colossians 1:21-22

Here is the message we have heard from Christ and now announce to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all.  So if we say we have fellowship with God, but we continue living in darkness, we are liars and do not follow the truth.  But if we live in the light, as God is in the light, we can share fellowship with each other.
Then the blood of Jesus, God's son, cleanses us from every sin.

~ 1 John 5-7
Giving
Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back.
Do to others what you would want them to do to you.

~ Luke 6:30-31

Give, and you will receive.  You will be given much.  Pressed down, shaken together, and running over,
it will spill into your lap.  The way you give to others is the way God will give to you.

~ Luke 6:38

Each one should give as you have decided in your heart to give.
You should not be sad when you give, and you should not give because you feel forced to give.
God loves the person who gives happily.

~ 2 Corinthians 9:7
Heaven
Rejoice and be glad, because you have a great reward waiting for you in heaven.
People did the same evil things to the prophets who lived before you.

~ Matthew 5:12

Jesus said to them, "I tell you the truth, when the age to come has arrived, the Son of Man will sit on his great throne.  All of you who followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.  And all those who have left houses, brothers, sisters, father, mother, children, or farms to follow me will get much more than they left, and they will have life forever.  Many who have the highest place now will have the lowest place in the future.  And many who have the lowest place now will have the highest place in the future.

~ Matthew 19:28-30

There are many rooms in my Father's house; I would not tell you this if it were not true.
I am going there to prepare a place for you. After I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come back and take you to be with me so that you may be where I am am.

~ John 14:2-3

But our homeland is in heaven, and we are waiting for our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,
to come from Heaven.  By His power to rule all things, He will change our simple bodies
and make them like His own glorious body.

~ Philippians 3:20-21

Then I saw heaven opened, and there before me was a white horse.  The rider on the horse is called faithful and true, and he is right when he judges and makes war.  His eyes are like burning fire, and on his head are many crowns.  He has a name written on him, which no one but himself knows.  He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the word of God.  The armies of heaven dressed in fine linen, white and clean, were following him on white horses.  Out of the riders mouth comes a sharp sword that he will use to defeat the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron.  He will crush out the wine in the winepresses of the terrible anger of God the Almighty.  On his robe and on his upper leg was written this name: King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

~ Revelation 19:11-16
Helping
Whenever you are able, do good to people who need help.

~ Proverbs 3:27

Suppose someone has enough to live and sees a brother or sister in need, but does not help.
Then God's love is not living in that person.  My children, we should love people
not only with words and talk, but by our actions and true caring.

~ 1 John 3:17
Hope
I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;
I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth.
These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.

~ Isaiah 42:16

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a good future.  Then you will call my name.  You will come
to me and pray to me, and I will listen to you.  You will search for me.
And when you search for me with all of your heart, you will find me!

~ Jeremiah 29:11-13

The Son of Man will come again with his Father's glory and with his angels.
At that time, he will reward them for what they have done.

~ Matthew 16:27

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.  God did not send his Son into the world to judge the world guilty, but to save the
world through him.  People who believe in God's son are not judged guilty.  Those who do not believe have
already been judged guilty, because they have not believed in God's one an only son.  They are judged by
this fact: The light has come into the world, but they did not want the light.
They wanted darkness, because they were doing evil things.

~ John 3:16-19
Love
Do not owe people anything, except always owe love to each other, because the person who loves others has obeyed all the law.  The laws says, "You must not be guilty of adultery.  You must not murder anyone.
You must not steal.  You must not want to take your neighbor's things."  All these commands and
all others are really only one rule:  "Love your neighbor as you love yourself."
Love never hurts a neighbor, so loving is obeying all the law.

~ Romans 13:8-10

You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemies.'  But I say to you, love your enemies.  Pray for those who hurt you.  If you do this, you will be true children of your Father in heaven.
He causes the sun to rise on good people and on evil people, and he sends rain to
those who do right and to those who do wrong.  If you love only the people
who love you, you will get no reward.

~ Matthew 5:43-46

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with
all your mind and with all your strength.

~ Mark 12:30

But I say to you who are listening, love your enemies.  Do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who are cruel to you.  If anyone slaps you on one cheek, offer him the other cheek, too.
If someone takes your coat, do not stop him from taking your shirt.  Give to everyone who asks
you, and when someone takes something that is yours, don't ask for it back. Do to others
what you would want them to do to you.  If you love only the people who love you,
what praise should you get?  Even sinners love the people who love them.

~ Luke 6:27

This is my command: Love each other as I have loved you.  The greatest love a person can show
is to die for his friends.  You are my friends if you do what I command you.

~ John 15:12-14

You are God's children whom he loves, so try to be like him. Live a life of love just as Christ
loved us and gave himself for us as a sweet-smelling offering and sacrifice to God.

~ Ephesians 5:1-2

Anyone who says, "I am in the light," but hates a brother or sister, is still in the darkness.  Whoever loves a brother or sister lives in the ligth and will not cause anyone to stumble in his faith.  But whoever hates a
brother or sister is in darkness, lives in darkness, and does not know where to go,
because the darkness has made that person blind.

~ 1 John 2:9-11
Peace
The Lord hears good people when they cry out to him, and he saves them from all their troubles.
The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and he saves those whoes spirits have been crushed.
People who do what is right may have many problems, but the Lord will solve them all.

~ Psalm 34:17-19

Give your worries to the Lord, and he will take care of you.
He will never let good people down.

~ Psalm 55:22

Jesus said to his followers, "So I tell you, do not worry about the food you need to live, or about the clothes you need for your body.  Life is more than food, and the body is more than clothes.  Look at the birds.
They don't plant or harvest, they don't have storerooms or barns, but God feeds them.
And you are worth much more than birds.  You can not add any
time to your life by worrying about it.

~ Luke 12:22-25

I leave you peace; my peace I give you.  I do not give it to you as the world does.
So don't let your hearts be troubled or afraid.

~ John 14:27
Praise
I will praise you, Lord, because you rescued me.  You did not let my enemies laugh at me.  Lord,
my God, I prayed to you, and you healed me.  You lifted me out of the grave; you spared me from going
down to the place of the dead.  Sing praises to the Lord, you who belong to him; praise his holy name.
His anger lasts only a moment, but his kindness lasts for a lifetime.
Crying may last for a night, but joy comes in the morning.

~ Psalm 30: 1-5

I praise your greatness, my God the King; I will praise you forever and ever.  I will praise you every day;
I will praise you forever and ever. Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom.

~ Psalm 145:13

The Lord makes me very happy; all that I am rejoices in my God.  He has covered me with clothes of salvation and wrapped me with a coat of goodness, like a bridegroom dressed for his wedding, like a bride dressed in jewels.  The earth causes plants to grow, and a garden causes the seeds planted in it to grow.
In the same way the Lord God will make goodness
and praise come from all the nations.

~ Isaiah 61:10-11
Prayer
Ask, and God will give to you.  Search, and you will find.  Knock, and the door will open for you.
Yes, everyone who asks will receive.  Everyone who searches will find.  And everyone who knocks
will have the door opened.  If your children ask for bread, which of you would give them a stone?
Or if your children ask for a fish, would you give them a snake?  Even though you are bad,
you know how to give good gifts to your children.  How much more your heavenly
Father will give good things to those who ask Him!

~ Matthew 7:7-11

Until now you have not asked for anything in my name.
Ask and you will receive, so that your joy will be the fullest possible joy.

~ John 16:24

Do not worry about anything, but pray and ask God for everything you need, always giving thanks.
And God's peace, which is so great we cannot understand it, will keep your
hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

~ Philippians 4:6-7
Purity
To do what is right and just is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

~ Proverbs 21:3

Enter through the narrow gate.  The gate is wide and the road is wide that leads to hell, and many
people enter through that gate.  But the gate is small and the road is narrow
that leads to true life.  Only a few people find that road.

~ Matthew 7:13-14

Dear friends, we have these promises from God, so we should make ourselves pure - free from
anything that makes body or soul unclean.  We should try to become holy in the
way we live, because we respect God.

~ 2 Corinthians 7:1
Sin
People who believe in God's son are not judged guilty.  Those who do not believe have already been judged guilty, because they have not believed in God's one an only son.  They are judged by this fact:  The light has come into the world, but they did not want the light.  They wanted darkness, because they were doing evil things.
All who do evil hate the light, because it will show all the evil things they do.
But those who follow the true way come to the light, and it shows
that they things they do were done through God.

~ John 3:18-21

But suppose the wicked stop doing all the sins they have done and obey all my rules and do what is fair and right.  Then they will surely live; they will not die.  Their sins will be forgotten.  Because they have done what is right, they will live.  I do not really want the wicked to die, says the Lord God.
I want them to stop their bad ways and live.

~ Ezekiel 18:21-23

It will be this way at the end of the world.  The angels will come and separate the evil people from the good people.  The angels will throw the evil people into the blazing furnace,
where people will cry and grind their teeth with pain.

~ Matthew 13:49-50
Strength
The Lord gives me strength and makes me sing; he has saved me.  He is my God,
and I will praise him.  He is the God of my fathers, and I will honor him.

~ Exodus 15:2

I looke up to the hills, but where does my help come from?  My help comes from the Lord, who made
heaven and earth.  He will not let you be defeated.  He who guards you never sleeps.

~ Psalm 121:1-3

The only temptation that has come to you is that which everyone has.  But you can trust God,
who will not permit you to be tempted more than you can stand.  But when you are tempted,
He will also give you a way to escape so that you will be able to stand it.

~ 1 Corinthians 10:13
Worship
Come, let's sing for joy to the Lord.  Let's shout praises to the Rock who saves us.  Let's come to him with thanksgiving.  Let's sing songs to him, because the Lord is the great God, the great King over all gods.
The deepest places on earth are his, and the highest mountains belong to him.  The sea is his because
he made it, and he created the land with his own hands.  Come, let's worship him and bow down.
Let's kneel before the Lord who made us, because he is our God and we are
the people he takes care of and the sheep that he tends.

~ Psalm 95:1-7

Serve the Lord with joy; come before him with singing.  Know that the Lord is God.  He made us, and we
belong to him; we are his people, the sheep he tends.  Come into his city with songs of thanksgiving
and into his courtyards with songs of praise.  Thank him and praise his name.
The Lord is good.  His love is forever, and his loyalty goes on and on.

~ Psalm 100:2-5

The time is coming when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, and that time
is here already.  You see, the Father too is actively seeking such people to worship him.
God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.

~ John 4:23-24
